1. Open the Instagram app on your phone
2. Tap your profile picture (bottom right corner)
3. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines, top right)
4. Tap "Settings and privacy"
1. Go to instagram.com and log in
2. Click your profile picture (bottom left sidebar)
3. Click "Settings" (gear icon) from the menu
1. Scroll down to find the "Meta" section
2. Tap "Accounts Center"
(This is where Meta manages settings across Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
1. In the Settings page, look for "Accounts Center" in the left sidebar
2. Or click "See more in Accounts Center" if shown
1. Tap/Click "Your information and permissions"
2. Select "Download your information"
3. Choose "Download or transfer information"
4. Select your Instagram account from the list
5. Tap/Click "Next"
1. Select "Some of your information" (faster than downloading everything)
2. Check ONLY the "Followers and following" box
Critical: Choose JSON Format!
When asked for format, select "JSON" (not HTML). Our tool only works with JSON files.
3. Date range: Select "All time"
4. Tap/Click "Create files"
Instagram will now process your request
You'll receive an email when your data is ready
Usually takes 5-30 minutes, but can take up to 48 hours
Tip: Check your spam/junk folder if you don't see the email!
1. Open the email from Instagram titled "Your Instagram Data"
2. Click the "Download your information" button
3. Log in to Instagram to verify your identity
4. Click "Download" to save the ZIP file to your device
Note: The download link expires after 4 days
Option A: Upload ZIP (Easiest)

Option B: Upload JSON Files
Extract the ZIP and find these files:
connections/followers_and_following/
"Invalid format" error: Re-request your data and make sure to select JSON (not HTML) format.
"Can't find the files": Look in the connections/followers_and_following/ folder inside the ZIP.
"Email not received": Check your spam folder. If still missing after 48 hours, try requesting again.
"File too large": Make sure you only selected "Followers and following" data, not your entire account.
Your data is processed securely and deleted after analysis
